Transformers from Germany to Matla & Vulcan substation via Richard Bay

Natco SA International Transports (Pty) Ltd was appointed by Powertech Transformers (previously known as ABB Powertech Transformers) to co-ordinate the entire logistics of two transformers , each weighing 227 tons with all accessories and its oils destined for Matla stores and Vulcan substation. The cargo originated from the ABB factory in Bad Honnef Germany and was shipped on a pontoon via the Rhine river to Antwerp. The Black Rhino from MACS were chartered and the cargo was on its way for its first destination Richards Bay, South Africa where the two transformers were loaded onto beam trailers and headed to their final destinations.
